This is the full list of widgets you can add to your dashboard, grouped by what they tell you. To add or rearrange them, see [Customising your dashboard layout](/articles/customising-dashboard-layout).

Every widget follows the dashboard's date range.

Volume and activity
-------------------

How much your chatbots are being used.

Widget

What it shows

Total conversations

Number of conversations started.

Total messages

Total messages exchanged across all conversations.

Max simultaneous conversations

The peak number of conversations active at the same moment.

Average simultaneous conversations

The average number active at once across the period.

Conversation quality
--------------------

Whether those conversations are going well.

Widget

What it shows

Average messages per conversation

How deep conversations go on average.

Average conversation length

Average duration in minutes.

Total likes

Replies users approved of.

Total dislikes

Replies users flagged as unhelpful.

Total feedback comments

Written comments left on replies.

Total messages with errors

Messages where something went wrong technically or the reply was blocked by a safety filter.

Average messages per conversation cuts both ways. A high number can mean users are engaged, or that they keep rephrasing because the first answer missed. Read a few of the longer conversations before drawing a conclusion.

Trends over time
----------------

Charts for spotting problems as they develop.

Widget

What it shows

Conversation activity (total converations)

Conversations started per day.

Message activity (total messages)

A combined daily trend of total messages, policy-filtered messages and messages with errors.

Feedback activity (daily feedback)

Likes, dislikes and feedback comments per day.

Simultaneous conversations

Average and peak simultaneous conversations per day.

Which widgets should I actually watch?
--------------------------------------

You do not need all of them. For a regular check:

- **Weekly:** Total conversations, Total dislikes, Total messages with errors.
- **Monthly:** Average messages per conversation and the Message activity trend, to see whether things are improving over time.
- **Before a busy period:** Max simultaneous conversations, to see what your real peaks look like.
